Oh how the month of October always amazes me. Out of all the months that make up 365 days I'm sure you could find a much more suitable month, with better weather and better opportunities. October has unpreditcable weather, one week could be in the 80's and the next in the 30's. Yet even though October isn't ideal, somehow I have the best memories during those 31 days. The football season is always just ending within the first week or so and there's always that one last game that tops all the rest rather they win or lose. My friends and I always hang out as much as we can before the weather gets too bitterly cold. So, I'm always out with the guys, walking around and hanging out. Majority of my friends are in band and always at practice so I've become that one girl that hangs out with all the guys since they're done with football. I've come to a conclusion, guys are nuts. I love them, but they're crazy. Being the only girl in a group of 3+ guys can be fun at first, but after awhile, they could be so nasty, I swear they have no shame.
Last October was great, I was a happy eighth grader at Clark surronded by familiar faces. Now I'm a surviving freshman at LC surronded by new people. I've made tons of new friends yet somehow October this year was pure amazing because I was with all my Clark people. It's great going back to your old 'norm'. Those people that make my life exciting may leave my side, but never my memories.
Today's Halloween. Did anyone notice? It felt like an average Monday, except for recieving cupcakes in 7th hour. I hate that as we're growing up we're losing touch with all those things that would make the little kid in ourselves scream in excitment. Too old to trick-or-treat? Psh, please. Free candy, we're still young! That's the problem, I don't think anyone has stopped and lived a little because what they want to do isn't 'socially acceptable'. If you want to trick-or-treat then go! Don't let some jock in 3rd period call you lame for it, you're the one having fun.
Now raise your glass, it's October 31st, Happy Halloween.
